Help…I’m Having Problems with My Username or Password
We know it can be frustrating when you are taking an online course and you are not able to log in when you want to.
If your problem is not with your username and password but rather some other technology-related issue, see Help...I’m Having Problems with an Online Course.
If your problem is more content-related vs. username- or password-related, direct your issue to the course instructors as listed in the online course.
If you are taking an online course and are requesting specific ADA-related accommodations, direct your request to Heather Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org; 612-626-6602).
Here are some of the most common experienced username and password problems and easy-to-follow steps.
I’ve registered for an online course but I can’t remember how to get into (or back into) the course.
The direct course link is most likely listed on the main home page for the course. To search for the appropriate online course home page, search for the course by typing in the course in the “Search Family Development” box on the left panel (on computers) or top panel (on phones) of this webpage.
Once you are on that related home page, search for the direct link to the online course and click on it. You may wish to save it in your internet browser favorites.
Help! I’ve registered for the course but when I try to log in I keep getting an error message about my internet ID and/or password or it asks for a self-enrollment key.
Double check that you are using the right internet ID and/or password. See the next question if you can’t remember your internet ID and/or password.
If you are confident that it is correct and your error message talks about your password “not being strong enough” proceed with trying to enter it anyway. If you’ve entered it and it seems to stop you from proceeding, contact Heather Lee (email@example.com; 612-626-6602).

If you have an x500 internet ID, given to University staff and students, you would have used this internet ID for your course. If you do not have an x500 internet ID, you would have used your complete email address (including the @XXX) as your internet ID.
