Food Networks in Minnesota
Food networks are multi-stakeholder groups of people working together to advance change in the food system. More than 60 active and developing food networks are at work in Minnesota.
Health and Nutrition staff created an email list, map, and directory of Minnesota's food networks as part of Extension's leadership role in the engagement function of the Minnesota Food Charter Network. You can use these online resources to connect with food network leaders across the state, learn about their work, and engage in food systems change in your community and across Minnesota.
Food Networks Email List and Quarterly Meetings
Extension hosts a monitored email list in order to help Minnesota Food Networks stay connected and share resources. Join today by sending an email to: email@example.com.
We also host quarterly online meetings with food network leaders. Meeting dates for 2017 are as follows:
- Thursday, March 23, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. View meeting notes: Virtual Policy Meeting with Food Network Leaders.
- Thursday, June 8, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. View meeting notes: Virtual Meeting of Food Network Leaders.
- Thursday, September 21, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, December 14, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
The goal for this year's quarterly meetings is to support, connect, and build capacity of food network leaders to activate their networks to engage in policy efforts of all scales (local, regional, statewide, national, institution).
If you plan to attend any of these meetings, please RSVP here: 2017 Quarterly Meetings of Food Networks RSVP form.
