Go Wild Engages Everyone
Go Wild programs ensure that students meet the program objectives by uniting the many people that can help support their efforts.
The nutrition educator visits the class to present a series of active, hands-on lessons to students about the many benefits of healthy foods and physical activity. The comprehensive Instructor Manual makes it easy and fun to teach Go Wild.
A Teacher Activity Resource (or Teacher Activity Sheet, in Go Wild with Whole Grains!) is given to the classroom teacher after each Go Wild lesson. This resource gives teachers ideas about special activities that can be incorporated into the classroom to reinforce the student’s nutrition and physical activity.

School Foodservice Staff
The School Cafeteria Promotion Resource is given to school foodservice staff before Go Wild is presented in their school. This resource gives foodservice staff ideas to promote the healthy foods being discussed through their menus and special activities.
After each Go Wild lesson, families receive a Go Wild newsletter that reviews what their child learned in the program. Each newsletter features discussion questions that families can use with their child, ways to incorporate the healthy foods into their diet, and a recipe that incorporates the food being taught about in class. In addition to the newsletter, families also receive a Go Wild Challenge that challenges them to buy and make dishes with their child that incorporates the food being taught about in class. Family materials are available in both English and Spanish.
