Lead Researcher's Background
The decision-making resources found on this website are based on research conducted by Marlene S. Stum, PhD., as well as other researchers across the country in the field of family economics and long term care financing.

Marlene Stum's scholarly interests include decision-making processes and outcomes in later life transitions, economic well-being, intergenerational transfers, and family policy. Her research is focused on understanding three transitions with which elders and their family members must cope: a) intergenerational resource transfers, b) financing long term care, and c) life and death health care.
