Jamie Bain works for the University of Minnesota Extension as a Health and Nutrition Extension educator in the seven-county metro area. She seeks to advance equitable access to healthy foods for all metro residents through coordination of the Metro Food Access Network (MFAN) and serving as a partner on the Strategic Planning Team of the Minnesota Food Charter Network. Jamie also helps support SNAP-Ed and EFNEP programming in the metro region.

Jamie came to Extension after working for several years as a program manager with a small nonprofit organization based in St. Paul. She focused on youth-driven programming including managing small urban farms, a community supported agriculture program, and farmers market business.

Jamie earned a Masters degree in Public Health, Nutrition, with a concentration on Global Studies at the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities.
