School will soon be out for the summer and many youth will spend some of the day at home alone or taking care of younger siblings. Join us as we share some tips and tricks to help youth chase away boredom and stay safe during the long summer days.
The program will include:
- People safety (tricky people and safe strangers)
- Online and internet safety
- Meals, snacks and kitchen safety
- Preventing accidents
- What to do if there is a fire in the home
- How to handle emergencies
- Basic first-aid skills
A snack will be provided to participants and they will do a small craft project.

Audience
Any youth in grades K and up who want to learn how to stay safe when home alone.
Parents are invited to attend.
