May 15 is the animal ID deadline in 4-H Online.
All animals (livestock and horse) must be owned or leased and identified according to each species' requirements in 4-H Online by May 15, 2024.

MN 4-H ear tag information: Double check the MN 4-H Animal Science identification requirements table. If so, contact Roseau County Extension office> Request your needed 4-H ear tags and tagger by calling (218-463-1052) and talking to a staff member at least one day prior to picking up at the UMN Extension/ 4-H Office, Roseau County. There are taggers available for you to check out and use as well. This requires a $25 deposit which is returned to you upon return of tagger. You need to return the tagger as soon as possible or within a couple days. All market project animals, commercial animals, and prospect calves will need a 4-H tag. Unused 4-H tags must be returned to the Extension Office within 2 weeks of the ID deadline to be in compliance with MN Board of Animal Health and USDA official tag tracking. Doves & Pigeons must have a seamless leg band by May 15. All other poultry including chickens, turkeys, & game birds will get a leg band at county fair check in (Monday or Tuesday of fair week).
