About the Trees and Woodlands program
Approximately forty percent of Minnesota's woodlands are privately owned. Caring for our forests is often the job of private landowners. Our Trees & Woodlands programs offer information and learning opportunities for citizens interested in protecting and improving woodlands.
You can learn about:
- timber harvesting, wood processing and forest products
- urban forestry
- windbreaks and shelterbelts
- wildlife management, invasive species and forest ecology
- silviculture and forest recreation
Anyone with an interest in forestry can enroll. Our courses are especially helpful to private woodland owners, loggers, and natural resource professionals and businesses.
