Avian Influenza

Extension plays several roles in Minnesota's fight against avian influenza that has impacted poultry farms. Faculty and educators continue working to:

  • teach best practices for monitoring and protecting poultry flocks
  • help producers get their healthy birds and eggs safely to market
  • analyze the economic effects while helping producers recover financially
  • support 4-H youth poultry livestock learning experiences
