Information about the complete publication and how to order it is available here. IntroductionThis is part of the Simple Good Eating nutrition education curriculum. Recommended for educators teaching nutrition, this group of 35 colorful 8 ½" x 11" cards help participants learn what nutrients are in common foods and how to substitute more nutritious foods for higher-fat and -sugar foods. Spiral wire spinding allow the participants to view full color illustrations of foods being discussed, while the educator views a listing of the food groups, nutrients, calories, and fat for each food. New in 2008, the cards now include two CDs of reproducible English and Spanish handouts. These cards are highly adaptable to the needs and interests of a diverse range of participants. This curriculum complies with the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and MyPyramid and is recommended for EFNEP and FSNEP staff, other nutrition educators, and teachers.
