Woodland management practices we have discussed are aimed primarily at regenerating and growing timber for wood products. Some modifications will benefit certain wildlife species. Wildlife diversity is fostered by creating a mix of stand ages since some wildlife require young dense stands and other wildlife need old growth forests.
