Aspen has a great future in the Lake States. Demand is increasing for aspen wood in the forest products industry. Woodland owners are beginning to recognize the value of aspen for ruffed grouse, white-tailed deer and other wildlife. And visually there is no woodland more pleasing to the eye than a mixture of aspens and conifers or the golden glow of aspen leaves against a deep blue sky.
