If there are mature aspen trees within a couple of miles, seed will disperse naturally on to the seedbed, but you can also collect your own seed and distribute it over the field. You may need to maintain this seed bed for several years during May and June until you hit a good seed year and soil moisture conditions favorable for seed germination and survival.
