White Snakeroot

(Eupatorium rugosum)

White snakeroot is a perennial reproducing by seeds and short rhizomes. The roots are much branched and fibrous. Stems grow from one to three feet tall and are smooth and erect, branching at the top. Leaves are opposite, three-veined with toothed edges and taper to a pointed end. Flowers are small and white that generally appear in late August.
