• To acquaint you with the costs involved in the legal process
• To acquaint you with the meanings of legal terms and how they might apply to your situation
• To acquaint you with the role of a guardian ad litem and the role it may play in your divorce
• To acquaint you with the legal steps you may expect in divorce
• To explain to you the definition of divorce and child-custody mediation
• To help you decide whether mediation would work for you
• To help you think about whether mediation is the best choice
