To review with parents changes that need to be made in order to move on from divorce

Instructions

  1. Display Overhead "Essential Elements For A New Life"
  2. Discuss these elements with parents. Remind them that cultivating each element is a process, and that parents sometimes find themselves going two steps forward and one step back.
  3. Emphasize that making each of these elements a part of their lives is a slow process that requires patience and time.
  4. Refer parents to Parent Handbook, "Letting Go," "Redefining Parental Roles," and "Developing New Social Ties."
