This product was developed to help parents:

  • Identify reasons teens use alcohol.
  • Explore and talk about their and their family's values related to alcohol.
  • Identify ways families influence teen alcohol use
  • Consider strategies for supporting their teens in making healthy decisions.

All of the materials needed to facilitate a parent group or group of parents together with their teens is included on this CD. You will be able to click on the related documents and print them and/or use them directly from this CD as desired. This self-explanatory lesson can be facilitated by staff in Extension, schools, or public health agencies; professionals from faith or community-based organizations; as well as volunteers who work with parents.
