This product was developed to help parents:
- Develop an understanding of teen risk-taking and its relationship to youth development.
- Develop an appreciation for the positive and negative aspects of risk-taking from the perspective of youth.
- Develop an understanding of the factors that contribute to youths' decision-making about risk-taking.
All of the materials needed to facilitate a parent group or group of parents together with their teens is included on this CD. You will be able to click on the related documents and print them and/or use them directly from this CD as desired. This self-explanatory lesson can be facilitated by staff in Extension, schools, or public health agencies; professionals from faith or community-based organizations; as well as volunteers who work with parents.
