The University of Minnesota Extension Service will be offering its annual Research Update for Ag Professionals in January 2007. This four hour educational program focuses on current applied research being conducted by UM Extension specialists and Research & Outreach Center scientists. Topics presented will be from:
Entomology
- CRW resistance development and soybean aphid management
Soil Fertility
- Seed safe fertilizer application, IDC update, residual value of manure, fall applied DAP and MAP, and current nitrogen research in the Red River Valley.
Plant Pathology
- Soybean root diseases and projections
Crop Management
- Small grains variety update
Weed Management
- Corn, soybean and small grain weed management future trends and applications
The program is intended for agri-business sales staff, agronomists, crop consultants, extension educators, government agency personnel, farm managers, and agri-business instructors.
Come listen and discuss with university researchers their research results and how they may aid your crop and pest management decisions in 2007. A total of 4.0 CEUs will be offered at each location for Certified Crop Advisers. The fee for the program is $40. Refreshments and handouts will be provided.

All programs are held 12:30-4:30 pm with the exception of Lamberton, which will be 9:00am-1:00pm.
