ANNOUNCING: The 2004 Ag Professional Field School
will be held at two locations this summer.
· Crookston:
July 13-14
· Waseca:
July 22-23
Each Field School will be held at the respective Research
and Outreach Centers.
The Field School
is offered as a hands-on, in-field program emphasizing
crop and pest management diagnostic skill building in
field crops. This
program is targeted towards agronomists, salespeople (seed, ag chemicals,
fertilizer), crop consultants, Extension Educators,
agriculture government agency personnel, farm managers,
and summer scouts. Participants will have the opportunity
to enhance their troubleshooting and crop management
skills in specially designed plots that display actual
cropping situations. A key feature of the
Field School is the small learning groups students are placed in with
an instructor to enhance the learning experience. Each
subject is led by experienced instructors offering personalized
instruction and small group activities.
Each Field School Session will offer
12.0 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEU) for
Certified Crop Advisors in the following categories. The Crookston Field School will offer: 7.0 in Pest Management, 2.0 in Nutrient Management,
and 3.0 in Crop Management. Waseca will offer
6.0 in Pest Management, 3.0 in Nutrient Management,
and 3.0 in Crop Management.
The registration fee for the Field School is $375 per individual. A group registration
fee is available for $350/individual for five or more
people employed by a single company or agribusiness. Student
space for each Field School Session is limited. The
registration deadline for the Crookston Field School is July 7 and the deadline for the Waseca Field School is July 14. A brochure describing the Field School agenda, registration information,

Registration forms for individuals and groups can
be downloaded from the web address. No online or credit card registrations can be accepted.
