Meet buyers interested in buying local foods and farmers interested in selling them. Local farmers and buyers will connect one-on-one about what they’re interested in buying and what they grow and produce. Get to know who is producing what your school needs and make a plan to follow up with each other later on. Bring your business cards!
3:30-4:30 p.m. Farm-to-School workshop for school nutrition professionals
UMN Extension and the Minnesota Department of Education will host this workshop for school nutrition professionals. Learn tips and tricks for menu planning, drafting specifications and procurement methods, food safety and local food regulations information, and examples of connecting the cafeteria, classroom and community.
