Date: September 1st, 2009 To: 4-Hers completed 8th grade From: Aaron Rongen 4-H Coordinator RE: Polk County 4-H Youth Leadership Award Application Hello there, Service….Leadership….Goal-Orientated….Responsible….Active…. What do these words all have in common? Do you see these words as a part of your daily life, not only through 4-H, but in the community as well? This Award is looking for 4-Hers who have shown growth in their projects, who are “learning by doing” with project reports/demonstrations, being active in their club, community, county and state events. 4-Her’s who are showing quality leadership skills like; including all members, leading by example, and encouraging others to succeed and meet their goals. Take your time and really put some thought into this application, it is a great opportunity for you to look back and see what you, as a leader, have done to improve yourself, your club, community and country. It will give you a fuller picture of how your 4-H leadership skills have been used, and where they could grow. It will be good to read and learn a little more about each of you, so please take the time to fill this out and send it back to the McIntosh Office, by Oct. 9th. Thank you and have a wonderful time remembering those things that you did as a Leader in Polk County 4-H.
