Background
Karl received his Master’s degree in Horticulture from Rutgers University and his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of California at Davis. He worked for a biotech company in the San Francisco bay area for eight years where half of his assignments were international. While working in the research department, his curiosity was piqued about the way that business decisions were made in his company. He moved to Minnesota joined Extension, married a Minnesota Woman, and earned a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in finance and entrepreneurship.
