About Weed Management Extension
Source: U of M SE IPM
The weed management program at University of Minnesota Extension delivers research-based education on weed control strategies that optimize crop yields while conserving herbicide resources. Much of this work focuses on herbicide resistance management, including understanding herbicide sites of action, implementing herbicide diversification strategies and utilizing cultural practices to manage weeds and seed banks.
We provide unbiased research that allows farmers to make pragmatic management decisions about their weed control program. We collaborate with University of Minnesota Extension specialists and educators to meet rapidly changing research needs and deliver educational programming that is responsive to crop producers of Minnesota.
