About Soil Management and Health Extension
Cover crops established after small grains harvest.
The soil management and health program at University of Minnesota Extension delivers research-based education on the economic and environmental benefits of different soil management strategies, and provides a set of regionally specific, data-driven recommendations that farmers can use to improve soil and crop productivity and sustainability of their farms.
We provide unbiased research that allows farmers to make pragmatic management decisions about their soil management and health program. We collaborate with University of Minnesota Extension specialists and educators and other partners to meet rapidly changing research needs and deliver educational programming that is responsive to crop producers of Minnesota.
