Private Certification

For all applicators who apply restricted use pesticides to their own land or sites for the production of agricultural commodities.

All persons who apply Restricted Use Pesticides must be certified at the time of application.

(People who apply pesticides on their employer’s or customer’s land or sites click here to go to the Commercial, Noncommercial & Structural applicator page.)

If your Private Applicator License expires on March 1, 2018, you can recertify by attending a workshop in January and February of 2018 or by retesting by taking either the on-line or mail-in exam.

If you are not a currently Certified Private Applicator you must certify by taking either the on-line or mail-in exam.

Private Applicator Fumigation

Changes as of January 1, 2013

For detailed information on these changes, the endorsement study manuals, and how to take the private fumigation endorsement exams see the Fumigation web page.

You must be a currently certified as a Private Pesticide Applicator to hold either the Private Stored Grain and Fumigation Endorsement or the Private Soil Fumigation Endorsement.
