Resources for Separated
Extension Employees

Get the Scoop
(Use the Inside Scoop)

When preparing for an internal job search, career searching (looking for what else is out there), or connecting with others within the University of Minnesota, you may wish to use the Inside Scoop. The Inside Scoop is a system-wide, on-line, staff and faculty networking directory that links staff looking for more rewarding work with those who have already found it and are willing to talk about the work they do. The Inside Scoop helps employees connect by matching you with volunteer employees who have information you want.

For example, if you are applying for a job in "x" department, you can search for employees who work in that department and contact them. They may or may not know about your hoped-for job, but they are likely to know about the department's people and culture.
