Welcome

The University of Minnesota Extension Service has a rich history of serving the needs of Minnesotans. Since 1909, Extension has been in Minnesota communities, working with individuals, organizations and agencies to put the University's research and resources to work for Minnesota citizens.

Throughout the years, our work has changed in order to continue to respond to the changing needs of Minnesota. Wars, the farm crisis, floods, tornados, changes in populations, youth at risk, all have influenced the focus of Extension's work. Yet, through it all, our mission of connecting community needs and University resources has remained constant.
