Most all of the U of M jobs that are open are listed on-line. There are a few exceptions, but that is a requirement of the University. So, if you are wondering what positions are available right now, go to the Job Center website at http://www1.umn.edu/ohr/employ.html. At any given time, there may be hundreds of open positions and they are listed by Employee group (Academic positions--that is Professional, Administrative, and Faculty jobs--and Civil Service/Bargaining Unit, also known as CS/BU). Within the CS/BU group, the jobs are further grouped into "job families." If you are not familiar with the "job families" and what job classifications/titles are found under which ones, you can contact an internal recruiter.
You should check job listings at least once a week, if not more often, if you want to make sure you are seeing all the jobs available. Some jobs are posted and taken down in a few days' time because so many candidates have already applied.
