In today's organizations, it's appropriate for hiring authorities to keep candidates appraised of the search process. Knowing approximately when interviewing decisions are expected and/or when an offer is to be extended are important for you, the job seeker, to know. However, keep in mind the best plans for prompt interviews and decisions are often impossible due to unexpected illness, schedule conflicts, and other unavoidable delays.
