Quality Matters for Program Teams

Cost: $500 for a team of three to five

A long-term assessment and learning project that provides participants with information, skills, and hands-on support to improve the quality of their youth programs. With the support of project coaches a team of participants will learn more about the essential components of a high-quality youth program and how to create environments that are positive places for young people to develop. At the core of Quality Matters is the Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA) tool, a nationally recognized observational measurement tool that provides a valid and reliable way to assess program quality.

Best for: Whole organizations or programs

How it works

  • A customized plan that will ensure your program quality is regularly improving through efforts that are sustainable over time.
  • New connections with other programs and colleagues focused on quality improvement.
  • A YPQA assessment report for use in planning and reporting.

Facilitators: Moore, Maureen Walsh, Colleen McLaughlin, Andrea Jasken Baker

"The ACTION PLAN has become a check-off list monitored by board and staff to determine progress in improving the quality of our program. It has also resulted in a new initiative to develop a more fully rounded mentoring process to improve not only the services we provide while the teens are in our program but also to help bridge the transition from our program into other education, training or work. We have long felt that that transition time is a critical time that we have been unable to respond to as much as we would like."
