  • 94% of student's surveyed turn to their parents for financial information.

When it comes to educating kids about financial matters, how much are parents and schools stepping up to the plate?

  • Only 30% of teens believe that their parents/guardians are concerned with making sure they are learning the basics of smart money management.
  • 87% of teens report that their parents/guardians talk to them about money, but 22% believe it is disrespectful for them to ask their parents or guardians about their finances. (source: Charles Schwab Teen & Money Survey, 2007)
