Private Certification

For all applicators who apply restricted use pesticides to their own land or sites for the production of agricultural commodities.

All persons who apply Restricted Use Pesticides must be certified at the time of application.

If your Private Applicator License expires on March 1, 2012, you can recertify by attending a workshop in January, February and March of 2012 or by retesting. No exams will be accepted after Oct. 31, 2012.

Certification, Recertification and Exams

(Not for Commercial, Noncommercial & Structural licensed applicators)

  • 2012 Private Pesticide Recertification Workshops scheduled for January, February and March 2012.
  • New Private Pesticide Applicator Safety Education Manual 19th edition (2012) for use with the 2012 private applicator certification exam - see below.
  • 2012 Private Pesticide Online Exam for new certification and recertification of private pesticide applicators. On-line exams must be completed by October 31, 2012.

Private Certification / Recertification Online Exam Now Available.

  • 2012 Private Pesticide Mail-in Exam for new certification and recertification – Test packets and manuals will be available at most local Extension Offices starting week of January 9, 2012. Exams must be post marked no later than October 31, 2012.
