Weighing in: How father involvement fosters healthier, more active children

MN Fathers and Families Network's (MFFN) 10th annual Fall Fatherhood Seminar Series is quickly approaching. Eight seminars are scheduled throughout the state during October and November.

In the day-long seminar, family and health professionals, practitioners, and community leaders learn strategies to help fathers use their place at the table to improve relationships with activity, food, eating and self for their children and families. Sessions will address:

  • Weighting for health: separating myth from fact
  • The biology and genetics of weight and health
  • The relationship model
  • Father hunger and other family appetites
  • Fathers, physical activity and body experience

Presenters will be from those working with MFFN and University of Minnesota Extension.
