Anoka County

Anoka County Veterans Memorial and Peach Garden

The Veteran’s Memorial and Peace Garden in Anoka is also the site of the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden, and it is visited by approximately 35,000 people a year. Four focal gardens feature flowering plants designed with a different theme each year.

This destination garden is maintained in partnership with Anoka County Master Gardeners and Anoka County Parks and Recreation. Master Gardeners use the site for education and demonstrations that are free to the public.

In 2016, Anoka County Master Gardeners presented on gardening with natives, saving seeds, growing dahlias, and designing the themed gardens. Signage helps all visitors learn something new in the garden.
